Hello everyone,
Thank you for the unanimous support of members present at our Club's Annual General Meeting on October
19, 2011 when I ran for the office of President, West Rouge Tennis Club for the year 2012.
Your new Executive will meet first in January 2012 to plan our 2012 year to be built on our past successes. I
wish to thank all the members of the 2011 Executive Committee for their work in moving our Club forward
and I look forward to working with the new and returning members to again deliver the best program of tennis
fun during the upcoming year. For me the highlight of the year was having Brian Hurd join us as Club
Professional and Head coach along with his staff and having them deliver their programs for our enjoyment.
More to come next year as Brian brings his second year of programs to our Club.
Please stay in touch over the winter by periodically checking the Whats' New page of our website where I
will ensure information is posted in a timely manner as we update it. There you can currently find the Minutes
of our AGM held October 19, 2011. You will also find a synopsis of the decisions taken at the January 2012
meeting of our Executive Committee plus our revised Calendar of Events to be copied to your own calendar
for ongoing reference. Also posted there will be the details of our Wine and Cheese evening, the traditional
opening of our new season.
In closing let me again point you to our Annual Awards Banquet and Dance, Saturday, November 12, 2011.
Please call Linda or Gary at 416-284-2101 for tickets. It will again be held in the Grand Hall at the WRCC
with a fajitas table again as part of the dinner menu.
